Brother Charles "Jerry" Parks Palawan Visit & Preaching On April 28 to May 3, 2010...!

On April 28 around 9:30 A.M. I had blessed opportunity to meet brother Jerry Parks and his Filipino companion brother Efren Agulto & Kimberly Geronaga from Manila with some of my fellow preachers in the airport of Puerto Princesa City [135 kms. the distance from my hometown Roxas]. After they lodged in the hotel and lunched we went straight at Area IV church where the brethren are waiting for our arrival. We arrived about 2:30 P.M. the brethren are warmly greet and welcome of brother Jerry's visit. Brother Leonardo Jabagat one of the elder of this congregation stand as MC while brother Eduardo Ayroso led the singing. Brother Jerry Parks preached encouraging lesson "Why Go To Church?". He points out some reasons why we go to church qouted verses Acts 2:42; Hebrew 10:22-25; Matthew 5:13-16. The brethren are listened very closely to his preaching while brother Dario Belviz translated into Tagalog language. After his preached I called to led the invitation song but the invited unChristian people are not yet ready to accept the baptism to obey the gospel. But the brethren are more encouraged and blessed the Gods word they heared by brother Jerry's preaching. Then, we proceed to Bayugon church arrived there about 5 P.M. Again brother Jerry preached 2 Pet.1:1-11 where brother Efren Agulto the translator. I called again to led the invitation song, there are 5 precious souls stepped forward and I asked them a few questions as the requirements of the baptism. After they confessed their faith and closed the service by led prayers of brother Manuel Agbisit. We went to the sea water to baptized them. Brother Bonifacio Buncag and Yoli Buncag preachers of this congregation doing the immersion. The photos was blurred because sunset that time when I taken. Then, we back traveled at night to Puerto Princesa city.

On April 29 early morning we traveled to south arrived first at Tagpait church where brother Jerry preached about "Obedience". He emphasized that the obedience is better than sacrifice quoted 1 Sam.15:22. It showed our respect and love to God (John 14:15). He also preached at Aramaywan church "What Hinders Me From Being baptized?" He showed well that God, Christ, H.S.,Church,Angels are not hinders But the Lack of faith, Fear of men, Misconception of Good and of Bad. The result of his preaching there are three precious souls stepped forward in our invitation song and they confessed their faith to Christ after I asked them. After the service we went to creek to baptized them. Brother Judson Montimor preacher of this congregation immersed them. Afternoon, he preached at Abo-abo church "Difference Between O.T. and N.T.".He explained well some of the difference and the done away of the Old Testament and the consequences who want to keep it (Col.2:14; Gal.5:4). The brethren gave thanks for his visits and preaching that they heared for their grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Then we proceed to Iniaran church he preached Eph.4:1-6. There are three precious souls stepped forward when we sing the invitation song. Brother Dario asking them a few questions if they are willing to obey the gospel thru baptism. They confessed and baptized into Christ during that time. Then, we proceed to Brookes Point Municipality arrived there about 5 P.M. and we get some rest there overnight.

On April 30 early morning we went to Locon church. Brother Jerry preached the challenging lesson "Faith Is A Victory" qouted in Heb.11:1-8,17. The result there are 5 precious souls stepped forward in our invitation song. Brother Jonathan Sapitula preacher of this congregation asking them if they are believe and willing to baptize into Christ. After the service we went to the sea to baptized them. Then, we proceed to Saraza church he preached the wonderful lesson "The Gospel" in Rm.1:16. He showed the bad news and the good news for man's problem (Romans 6:23; 1 John 3:4. Eph.2:12; John 3:16; 2 Pet.3:9; Heb.1:1-2; Heb.5:8-9; Mark 16:16). Afternoon, we went to Pangobilian church. Brother Jerry preached there a very good lesson "God Gave You!" -- A Soul. He explained well how soul is more value than the whole world [the things on earth] the verses quoted Matthew 10:28; Matthew 16:24-26; Luke 16:19-31. After his message and the invitation song there is one soul confessed and baptized that time. Then, we go back and arrived at Puerto Princesa City around 8 P.M.

On May 1, 2010 early morning I went back to my home at Roxas arrived about 10:30 A.M. to get some rest from a long trip in south with brother Jerry and other fellow preachers. Brother Jerry has scheduled to preach at Puerto Princesa church on May 2 and May 3 is scheduled of his flight back in Manila. We are very much thankful to God for his visit and gave some encouragement us through of his preaching the Gods word. May God continue to give him a good health and be with him in his labours in the kingdom of God. Please! include in your prayers our new brothers and sisters in Christ to remain faithful to Christ (Rev.2:10).

The wedding at Area IV on April 9, 2010...!

There are two members in Area IV church getting married on April 9, 2010 namely Ricardo Catalogo & Jezel Jabagat. Me, brother Dario Belviz and the two of my fellow preachers from south made as a principal witnesses and brother Jonathan Sapitula was the officiating minister on that wedding. We thank God the marriage was done peacefully and happilly. I posted here the photos during that time where brother Dario Belviz assigned as MC that stand along the preachers in his right side while singing "Count Your Blessings" led by brother Manuel Agbisit. , the opening prayer was given to me. Before the wedding ceremony, brother Jonathan rendered some few Gods Word to remind us all that the marriage must be"honourable in all.." (Heb.13:4). Then the signing contract marriage and the eating time. We thankful so much to all the efforts that was done of all by the parents, brothers and sisters, relatives, friends and preachers. This new couple married needed prayers, please! include them in our prayers for their relationship will full of Gods love, happiness and blessings all the time...!

The Gospel Meeting @ Iniaran Church of Christ on March 17-19, 2010...!

On March 17 at 1:30 PM, me and brother Bernabe Belando a brother from Bgy. New Cuyo where my back ride in motorcycle and we started our traveled on that time to attend in the gospel meeting. We arrived very tired in Iniaran around 8:00 in the evening. We are so happy to meet and shaked hands again to our fellow preachers from different places and the brethren in that place. We started the service at 9:00 PM. Brother Edward Belando a preacher from Burirao church was given opportunity to preached that night, his topic is about the "Apostasy in the Lords Church" he boldly exposed very well some reasons why and how the other brethren depart from their faith. There is only one speaker that night because most of us are very tired from our traveled so that we can rest well for tomorrow services.

On March 18 we started our service at 8:00 A.M. Several preachers has given opportunity to preached on that morning. Brother Rolando Villahermosa preached entitled "It Is Finished" (John 19:30) he explain well some things that finished by Christ death. Brother Porlando Sumibay preached "Hold" (2 Thes.2:15), brother Adencio Colili delivered "Expressing Godliness Attitude", brother Jason Palisoc taught "Do Good" (Heb.13:16), and brother Jonathan Arias preached about "Life" (Job 33:4).

Then, afternoon we started again at 2:00 P.M. There is only two speaker has gave way to speak because the rest hour we used for our practice singing by brother Manuel Agbisit who lead us. I am first to speak, my lesson is about,"The Devices of Satan Who Killed The Church"(2 Cor.2:11). I have only four major points which is the "Persecution","False Doctrine", "Worldly" and "Lukewarm" to emphasized mine to the brethren that they must be alert in all time in their good fight in faith against this great devices of Satan. Then after me brother Judson Montimor a preacher from Aramaywan church will be followed. He preached well a very nice lesson "The Nature of God". Then, we are all happy to practice singing by Tagalog language. We are group into bass, tinor, alto and sofrano. As Paul said, "...singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord" (Eph.5:19). In the evening, we have a business meeting we talked our future plans of our jointly gospel trip and meeting and as of our best we are help to our needy saints members and preachers.

On March 19 early morning, we are traveled again to go back home. I arrived in my house around 12:30 at noon. There is no baptism during that meeting but the brethren in that place are so happy and truly edified to the Gods word taught. The preacher of this congregation is brother Eddie Favila. We thank him very much for his host the meeting and also to his family and the brethren to their efforts to served us while we are there. May God keep watching and blessed them always..!

The death of my mother and my travel & events to Leyte on Febuary 14 to March 8, 2010...!

On Feb.14, 2010 after our sunday worship services @ Area IV church I have recieved a call by cellphone from my elder brother [Restituto Sanchez Jr.] in Leyte saying that our mother [Eufronia A. Sanchez] was brought in hospital because she was stroked by high blood pressure after her bath while she was wearing her dress to worship that time. She was admitted three days hoping she can survived but unfortunately on Feb.17, 2010 around 11 AM my brother call again to me saying our mother was passed away in this life! So I promptly to flight there connecting in Manila to Tacloban, Leyte with my niece [Roshella Neyra] then Tacloban to Ormoc by shuttle van, then Ormoc to Sitio Looc in the house where my mother's body laid. I arrived tired and sorrow for her gone. We really missed her till our second life in heaven.

On Feb.21 [Sunday] I ask my nephew [Rickryan Sanchez] to go with me to worship in the church at San Vicente, Bgy. Curva, Ormoc City where my mother is a member. They know nothing yet the death of my mother, after I introduced myself to them and told the happened they are really felt sorrow and weep. They told me the faithfulness of my mother in worship, of how much sacrifice she suffered to worship only every sunday despite of her oldness 78 years old. From house every sunday she was ride a bus going to Curva crossing with about 15 kms. then from Hi-Way corner she walked almost 4 kms. to worship. I meet brother Willy Pillino a preacher of this congregation and his co-preacher brother Boy Pitugo. During the worship services after the Bible study of brother Willy he gave me opportunity to give a sermon [the title of my sermon was "God Hath Spoken"-Heb.1:1-2] and brother Boy lead the singing. After the services we have opportunity to take a pictures.

On Feb.21- 26, brother Willy and Boy and the brethren went in the house every night to conduct funeral services. We start the service every night at 8:00 - 9:00 PM. First night, brother Boy Pitugo will be the first speaker, he explained well why the death physically come to us all and must prepare for it by serving God [Romans 6:23; Gen.2:7; I Thes.5:23;etc.]. The second night, brother Willy preached through the challenging question "If A Man Die, Shall He Live Again?" (Job.14:14). He emphasized through the light of the scriptures that a man though he were dead, yet shall he live through believing [obeying] in Jesus (John.11:25; 5:28-29; 1 Thes.4:13-14;etc). Fourth night, brother Boy again preached about the "Gods Plan of Salvation". And the last night, brother Willy preached "The Our Hope" (Rom.8:24-25; Col.1:27; 1 Tim.1:1; Titus 1:2;etc.).

On Feb.26 is burial day of my loving mother, after brother Willy sermon and our lunched we all go to cemetery for the final destination of my mother's body in the tomb. Tearful but in other ways, deep in our hearts and minds we are glad that she was died in Christ for she may rest in her labours. We are so thankful the preachers brother Willy Pillino and Boy Pitugo who proclaim the Gods word to give us comfort and strength. And also to all the efforts of the brethren there at San Vicente church of Christ. We thankful also to our relatives who help us during the funeral services and to all the symphatizers.

On Feb. 28 me and my brother's and sister [with her daughter or my niece] in flesh and in faith get opportunity to worship first at San Vicente church of Chris before we go home in our hometown. Brother Willy Pillino gave to me the opportunity of Bible Study. I preached about "The Seven One's" in Eph.4:4-6. The sermon is given to brother Boy Pitugo. After the service we take photos for remembrance each other. Then we leave peacefully and happily.

On March 2 - 3, two days & nights of travel from Leyte to Manila by buses. We arrived in Manila 10 PM. We are so very tired and need take some rest. Me and Marlon [my older brother] standby for a few days while we are waiting the schedule of our flight going to Palawan.

On March 8, we arrived in Palawan at Puerto Princesa City Airport about 5 PM. Then we rode in trysicle to terminal then we split because he [Marlon] went to south while I went to north in Roxas and arrived in my house about 10 PM. We thank God for our safe home.
