Gospel Meeting @ Aramaywan church of Christ on December 22-24,2009

I had blessed opportunity to attend the gospel meeting held at Aramaywan church of Christ in southern Palawan on December 22-24, 2009 with have a driving distance approximately 200 kilometers. Brother Judson Montimor and Danilo Belviz are the preachers of this congregation. There are several preachers from different places attended on this meeting. We've meet all and the brethren therein with the gladness of our heart.

Brother Judson who hosted of this meeting stood in the pulpit to welcome us all and became MC as well.

Brother Manuel Agbisit from Puerto Princesa City[father in law of brother Dario Belviz] called to lead the singing. He is our teacher in music, in this video in our singing practice time he teach us how to sing tinor, sofrano, alto and bass. We appreciate so much for his efforts in this task. A preacher can preach through singing hymns, so we needed learn as Paul said, "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord." (Eph.5:19) I had given opportunity first in this meeting to preach the Word. I preached entitled "The Called Out People". I emphasized the major points stated in Romans 8:28-30. Soon if Gods willing I will post this outline here.

The audience are attentively listened!!!

Brother Jonathan Sapitula
from Brookes Point delivered his very good challenging lesson in this photo entitled "Be Ready Always To Give An Answer" (1 Pet.3:15). He emphasized that we must have first a true knowledge in His Word, defense & give it to others for the Hope eternal life.

In this photo brother
Dario Belviz from Puerto Princesa preached in his two very nice lesson also about the "Type's Of Preaching Today"/Someone Has Plan For You in Luke 8:11-15. He showed well the different types of preaching today's world such us wealth, fable, philosophy, etc. & the terrible consiquences of that kind of preaching and he explained more of what character or kind of preaching ought we have. He emphasized also the kind of hearers of Gods word. That Satan has Plan A [to stay out the hearers in the kingdom], Plan B [to get the hearers drop out], Plan C [to get to fizzle out] But the Gods Plan is the Good Soil [the faithful of His Word].

The brethren are so encouraged and very much edified from the Gods Word taught by our good speakers. We are thankful very much for the brethren who served us while we are there. God will bless you all richly!!!!

Gospel Meeting in Puerto Princesa City church of Christ

On August 26-28, 2009 I meet the brethren in Puerto Princesa City and the fellow preachers from south in different places who attended in the gospel meeting and we are all happy to meet each other. Several preachers had given opportunity to preached the word. We thankful so much to brother Dario Belviz and the brethren to serve us till the meeting was finished. May the Good Lord bless you all...!

On August 26 at night about 9:00 PM we start our service. Brother Edward Belando [preacher in Burirao church] preached in this photo in his well prepared sermon entitled; "Be Strong and Courageous" qouted in Joshua 1:7. As a soldiers of Christ we must have this great attitude, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Eph.6:12)

After our services that night, we are all sleep in the church building. View in this photo our situation, some are still talking but the other are already sleep and seems truly tired from their traveled that day. Brother Dario borrowed us bedclothes, pillow and sheet. Thanks brod...!

On August 27 in the morning about 9:00 AM we start our services. Brother Dario standing in the pulpit as MC, I had given opportunity to preached. My topic is about, "What Therefore God Hath Joined Together, Let Not Man Put Asunder" quoted in Mt.19:6. I presented four example that man trying to put asunder like "Husband & Wife", "Church & Christ", "Faith & Works" and "Baptism & Salvation". Through the light of the scriptures I emphasized that this things is not and imposible to put asunder.

In the afternoon, we have time for music lesson. Brother Manuel Agbisit teach us more in this photo, how to sing our song properly through the notes. He teach us how to sing in different tones like, Sofrano, Alto, Tinor and Bass and we practice it. As Paul said,"Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord." (Eph.5:19).

Gospel Meeting in Area IV church of Christ on July 29-30,2009

We are thanks for the Lord that our gospel meeting in Area IV church of Christ on July 29-30 ,2009 was successfully materialized even though typhoon on that time. We are so thankful to God also for keeping safe of our fellow preachers from south who attended the meeting where they are suffered the rain in their traveled as well their went home. The brethren are truly grateful and edified to the Lords word delivered by our fellow sound preachers. We thanks to everyone who served and sacrificed to made this gospel meeting, especially to brother Leonardo Jabagat who permit us to use his house for our sleeping and brother Cesar Gundao house for our eating place. We thank you all for the prayers...!

On July 29 about 8 PM we start our services. As introducer I called brother Sammy Cabansa [preacher in Tagpirara church, Brookes Point] as our first speaker. He preaches about "SIN" in his text from Romans 4:8. He explained what the man is and how Lord not impute his sins through the cross of christ.

Our second speaker is brother Eddie Favila [preacher in Inaran church, Espaniola]. He emphasized about the baptism. He qouted Rom.6:7,4 that a man must be baptized to buried his sins. If a man saved without baptism meaning he saved without buried [forgiveness-Acts 2:38] his sins. Otherwise, he buried alive if he saved before he baptized...! If not why not?

The brethren who are attended on that night are listened closely to the Gods word. There are questions answered like, "When Christ bare our sins in the cross, therefore we have no sins already, we have nothing to do but to believed on him only." Brother Jonathan Sapitula answered that the salvation offered is conditional and brother Dario Belviz answered also shortly that the work of salvation has two parts, the Gods part and the mans part. The Gods part is already done that is the God, Christ, Gospel, Grace, etc. but the Mans part is not yet done, that is he must do to be saved which is to Hear, Believed, Repent, Confess, Baptism, Faithful, Work, etc. As Paul said,"By which also[we are save not only one thing but also other all things necessary in salvation-imphasis mine] ye are saved..." (1 Co.15:2)

On July 30, about 8:30 A.M. we start our services again with singing praises to God, "...that is the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to his name." (Heb.13:15). Brother Edward Belando [preacher in Burirao church, Narra] is our song leader.

Brother Reuben Tiburan [preacher in Tagpait church, Aborlan] preaches this photo as our first speaker on that morning. He preached entitled "The Holy Spirit Indwells The Christians Through The Word" qouted in 1 Co.3:16-17. He explained it well through other supporting passages. There are some questions raised about the topic said, "If the Holy Spirit indwells the Christians today therefore they must perform miracles as the apostles and first century Christians?" [this questioned he based in Acts 19:1-6]. We answered concisely that the apostles miracles [powers] through Holy Spirit is merely exclusive promise for them purposing to confirm the word (Mark 16:15-20; Acts 1:2,8). That the powers of them is not transferable, these gifts of the Holy Spirit was given through the laying apostles hands only (Acts 8:14-18). But these miracles or gifts was intended to end when the perfect [word] is come [confirmed] (1 Co.13:8-10; Heb.2:3-4). We do not need miracles today to confirm the word because we have already a Bible. Holy Spirit indwells the Christians today through the Bible not to perform miracles but to recieved the promise gift of the Holy Spirit which is the hope of eternal life (Acts 2:38-39; Rom.6:23; Titus 1:2).

Brother Emmanuel Sapitula [preacher in Babanga church, Brookes point] preaches entitled, "Where Are You?" He explained well with comparison study of what our situation if we are in Christ and the consequences those out of Christ. As Christ said,"He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad." (Mt.12:30).

The brethren attended that day are attentively listened in the Gods word.
Brother Judson Montimor [preacher in Aramaywan church, Narra] preaches about the gospel of
the kingdom quoted in Mt.4:23. He emphasized that the kingdom preaches in the New Testament is very different in denominational preachers today preaches kingdom. This kingdom is already stablished on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit comes to the apostles (Mark 9:1; Acts 1:8; 2:1-4; 1 Co.12:28). The kingdom and the church are the same (Rev.5:9-10; Acts 20:28). This kingdom is belongs to Christ (Col.1:13) and her true sense is heavenly not earthly as Christ himself said,"My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence." (John 18:36).

Brother Jonathan Sapitula [preacher in Locon church, Brookes point] preached entitled, "Ignorance" quoted in Acts 3:17. He showed that the people often do wrong because they do not know the scriptures (Mt.22:29). The ignorance can reach into knowledge of truth through the constant study of the Bible (Acts 11:17). John said, "Blessed is he that readeth and they that hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand." (Rev.1:3).

The baptism in Area IV church of Christ

Last July 5, 2009 we have a great rejoice in the Lord for the new sister in Christ named; Stelita Bajos a widow and a former Catholic. She was invited by the couple brother & sister Mentong and Adela Jabagat in our every sunday worship services. We are so thankful for this couple for their active and earnestly for the Lord in inviting people to draw near to God. Mrs. Stelita joined us only four times and we are thanks to God, for He touched her heart to obey the gospel of Christ. She was confessed and baptized into Christ at that time. Right, after our worship services we did the baptism of her.

The some brethren accompany to witness the baptism. You will see in the left side photo from front is my wife Nizhy, followed by Stelita Bajos [the candidate of baptism], Adela Jabagat, Hazel Gundao, Mentong Jabagat and Leonardo Jabagat. We are walking almost 400 meters along in the rice field and crossing in the salvage tree as bridge with nipa plants [right photo] to go in the river to do the baptism.

Paul says, "I will therefore that men PRAY EVERY WHERE, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting." (1 Tim.2:8).
